Time to Eat: Cost Saving Tips for YOUTH 2019
We definitely understand that saving money is a top priority for many youth groups. And we know that eating cheap is often the name of the game. SO we are here to help you out! Check out these 5 tips for eating cheap in KC.
1.Go Grocery Shopping.
One of the best things about our venue in Kansas City is that we are right downtown. Once you get to Kansas City you won’t need a car. Not even to go grocery shopping. Cosentino’s Market is located right in downtown Kansas City, just a few blocks away from the Marriott, Holiday Inn- Aladdin, Crowne Plaza and the Hotel Phillips. Not only can you buy groceries for your group at Cosentino’s, you can also eat meals there on the cheap. The market has a salad bar, pizza by the slice bar, sushi bar, and, best of all, a gelato bar!
2.Check out all the great restaurant options in downtown Kansas City.
The Power and Light District is just a few blocks form the Kansas City Convention Center and Municipal Arena. The area is filled with restaurants of all kinds and price points to match. There is something for everyone, including a late night cookie shop!
3.Eat on a budget.
Set a daily budget for your group. Give each student a certain amount that they can spend for each meal and don’t let them go over. This is a great way to teach kids about using money wisely!
4.Pack a lunch.
If you are planning to grocery shop for snacks and breakfast foods why not get lunch as well? A great way to save some money (and time) is to pack a lunch and bring to with you to the convention center.
5.Carpool to a bigger store.
So what happen’s if Cosentino’s doesn’t have what you need? Team up with other youth groups and carpool to the nearest Wal-Mart or Target. You will be able to find bigger bulk items and a better selection. So make some friends and head on out to the store.
