On-site Updates from YOUTH 2019
Doors are now open at YOUTH 2019 in Kansas City, and we have a few last-minute updates to share as you begin four days of discipleship, worship, Bible study, service opportunities, and life-changing fun!
If your group is driving to Kansas City, pay parking for regular-size vehicles and vans up to standard 15-passengers can be found either at your hotel or in the parking garage below the Barney Ellis Plaza, as well as surface area lots in downtown Kansas City.
If you are in a charter bus, you will need to be dropped off with your luggage at your hotel first. The driver will then proceed to Liberty Lot at Kemper Arena at 16th and Liberty.
Bus parking at the Liberty Lot is located at 1600 Liberty Street from July 9-14, 24 hours a day. This lot is approximately three miles away from the Convention Center. A shuttle service for drivers only will be offered on July 10 from noon to 9 p.m., and July 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Groups should be dropped off at their hotel prior to the driving parking the bus to use the shuttle.
Liberty Lot is gravel and dirt. In the event of inclement weather, it could be muddy. There is no scheduled maintenance for the lot at this time.
The city nor YOUTH 2019 will NOT be responsible for any damages to any vehicles parked on the lot at any time.
The city nor YOUTH 2019 does NOT control access to the lot.
Buses may enter, exit, and re-enter this lot during YOUTH 2019. The lot may not be monitored at all times.
Getting the Most from your DIG Group Experience
“Discuss. Intersect. Grow” – DIG Groups are small groups of nine or so people who will meet together for three days to share their lives, dig deeper into the message, and make connections that will last long after we have all returned home. We believe DIG time will be not only a fun and exciting experience for the youth and adults who participate, but also one of the most meaningful and important aspects of the YOUTH 2019 event.
The DIG Group experience will allow youth and adult leaders to…
- Build new friendships with people from around the country.
- Dig deeper into the main stage messages.
- Apply learning and experiences to life.
Your whole group is in DIG Groups at the same time, though you may be divided between three different rooms.
Your group will be arranged into a “Circle Group” of nine people, who will be with each other July 11-13.
We Need You to Help Serve in a Circle Group!
We need each group to send at least one adult to a DIG GROUP TRAINING, July 10 at either 1, 4, or 10pm in room 2215A. Pick the one that is most convenient for your schedule. This adult can relay the
information about how DIG Groups work and how to have your best experience to the rest of the group.
We also need high school students who like serving as leaders, to become circle group leaders. All youth with a desire to make others feel welcome and have an awesome small group experience are welcome to serve as circle group leaders and can come to the meetings at 1, 4, & 10pm in room 2215A!
Adult Leader Orientations
Adult leader orientations will be held at 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, and 10pm on July 10 in Room 2210. Primary leaders, pleases make time to attend one of these 30-minute orientations to help your group get the most out of YOUTH 2019.
